Coulter defended the question while appearing on “Fox Friends” in January, saying, “The South Carolina audience loves when he yells at John King for making a perfectly legitimate opening question.”
Coulter added then: “John King is a completely fair reporter, an honorable reporter. And Newt Gingrich goes back to the well [in] attacking the media, and I resent that.”
In the “Fox Friends” segment Friday, Coulter tempered her criticism of Gingrich, but maintained he was unfit to be president.
“Look, he’s smart, he say interesting things, he’s an interesting person to talk to — he is not presidential material,” she said. “That’s why I have been against him, and he has to know that.”
